This building held various businesses and organizations before 1922 when Lewis Furniture moved in. From about 2012 to 2016 the Elite Institute of Cosmetics was located here. Shawnee State University acquired the building in 2017.

The C & O Railroad Bridge, Portsmouth, Ohio
Reddish tone photo Image of the C & O Bridge at Sciotoville towards Kentucky. Completed in 1917, the C & O Northern Railroad Bridge is the longest continuous truss railroad bridge ever built. The distance between the Ohio and the Kentucky shores is 1,600 feet.
