Description

Sepia toned image of Government Square, or Gallia Square, or Upper Market Square, or the Esplanade where Gallia Street meets Chillicothe Street. In 1893 George Kricker built the Kricker Building also known as the city building at the left. It held the Portsmouth City Offices, a bank, grocery, jeweler, business college and other businesses. On the right is the Royal Savings building.
