Colorized image of Gallia Square in Portsmouth. Government Square, or Gallia Square, or Upper Market Square, or the Esplanade where Gallia Street meets Chillicothe Street. The Kricker Building shows through the trees at the left. Built by George Kricker in 1893, it held the Portsmouth City Offices, a bank, grocery, jewelry, business college and other businesses.
